The first tip would be how to use "Shift Key":
Shift key is the key that queues up your skills/ actions and it's used quite often if not always, it maybe tricky in the very beginning, but over time, you will notice how much you were missing.
Intermediate to pro gamers are acquainted with this technique, yet a little reminder won't hurt, will it?
HOW TO USE:
simply using shift + rightclick / skill hotkey/ item hotkey, will queue up that skill / item / action for you to use after finishing your current action
ACTIONS:
# How many times have you missed a good kill with bane elemental because you didn't chain your "Brain sap" well after your "Fiend's Grip", not anymore, while you are channeling your fiend's grip, simply press shift+"brain sap's hotkey" and voila, your brain sap will be executed right after the channeling time of fiend's grip, use your imagination for more combos.
# No more extra waste on your sandking's Epicenter charges, just let him channel, and, shift+ "blink dagger's hotkey" and right after your epicenter channeling, you will blink -you may waste a charge tho-
# After a teleport on your tower, you may issue a queue, and using a skill after your tp maximize the benefit you get from the fountain, as there's 3 secs of regeneration you get after you teleport from your fountain, so that's how it will work, teleport on a tower, issue an action, a skill, a blink dagger, and then you will notice your mana regenerates to full, or almost full, so that will basically grant you a free skill, for no mana.
MOVEMENT and ATTACKING:
Issuing a movement queue is the same as queuing a skill, shift+right click to move, that will maximize your micro skill, your illusion control, and you can use it to farm faster, like if you want your controlled units to attack neutrals / ancients or creeps in a certain order, just shift + right click them in the order you want.
For the illusions part you can draw a path for them to walk, by shift + right clicking to create check points, the unit will walk in -of course you can do that for all controlled units, but it's most useful in scouting by illusion-

This guide is based on personal experience and I noticed most players don't know these little facts, if you have any modifications for the guide, or more examples post them, so other players benefit from your experience as well, oh and I don't know what I have to do to get the betakey you guys are offering but I will make sure I squeeze my little knowledge in here.

I'd like to point out that the same can be used for the courier. You can tell it to come to you, drop off all your gear, and return to the fountain automatically using shift queues, leaving you to continue laning. This would have to be my #1 tip for using the courier - once I learnt to do this, my courier saw a lot more use.

Holy shit I never knew anything about this, thank you so much! This is awesome information to have, also thanks for the addition ShadowSketch many times I have found myself waiting for that courier to finish one action so I can issue the next.

Shift key is very useful especially when you want to don't miss that hero, but sometimes shift key sucks.

Could you please elaborate? What are the cons of the shift key?

You can't cancel a queue, if you cancelled it by right clicking, you will be cancelling the whole action line, like if you channeled sandking's epicenter queued the blink dagger to a spot, then you just noticed people moved from that spot, you have 2 options to either let the queue take its turn and blink there wasting your ultimate, or right click somewhere then blink to a new spot fast, but you will end up losing way more charges off the ult, than you would have lost if you didn't use the queue command, so shift key has to be a little more precise.

prolly one of the best hints, this is common knowledge of people who played dota in WC3, but ppl who port over from LoL dont have this luxury, its is important to know that the the queue is instant, so you can can never get interrupted in between, for instance when you tp, and queue a dagger blink, the blink will never be interrupted unless an aoe stun or shackle is on you

The only time I ever use shift Que is when i'm astral planed, or tornado'd and I wanna get out using blink or windwalk or any kinda escape mech like BKB and TP scroll. I perfer not to Que my items for courier cause shit might happen when ur not paying attention.

Yea a lot of sc players already know the shift click but LoL doesnt have this feature. Great to know.
